How to install WordPress and improve a blog professional
WordPress is one of the most popular self hosted blogging
platform. Getting started with WordPress is quite easy, and the very first step
is to install WordPress on your hosting account. Most of the shared hosting for
WordPress offers quick script to install WordPress, and you don’t
have to take manual route to create your WordPress blog. Here I
will be sharing a complete guide which you need to launch your own blog on your
hosting.
Selecting a Web hosting isn't as easy as it sounds. Specially when there are hundred of hosting
options are available. Based on my personal experience with various Web hosting,

I. WORDPRESS INSTALLTION
To install
WordPress, your hosting must support at least PHP 5.2 and SQL database.
You access to the
http://www.wordpress.org to download the
latest version, and then unzip the folder will be named "wordpress".
Next, proceed to
create the database in the host. Access to cPanel
on your hosting, you will see like this
Next, find the Database tab, click on MySQL databse to create a new database
and user.
Enter the name of
the database that you want to create and click on the button Create Database
Next, create a user
for the database. Scroll down to see the MySQL User. Enter your user name and
password, and then click Create User.
Finally, we need
integrate database and user so that it can connect together. Iin the Add User to Database, you select user and database just created and click Add.

initializing the database. The next job is to install one copy on the host and
install WordPress. I recommend using the FTP protocol to upload the data to the
host in order to save time and easy to work. Here we will use FileZilla to upload software, this
software is completely free.
We conducted using
FTP connections on your host. Are you logged on as follow:
Host: FTP address on your hosting.
User: username loggin to the hosting.
Password: Password to login to the hosting
After entering all
information, click QuickConnect to
connect to the host. After the connection is successful, you will see the
following.
Now we will all of
the files and folder in WordPress. First you have to click on the public_html
folder, then in the left column we will point to a location on the
wordpress folder on your computer, press Ctrl
+ A to highlight all the files and folders, then right click and select Upload.
The uploading
process from 5 to 10 minutes, after the upload is complete and it will display
the following message.

When finished, you type
you domain on web browser to install for example: “abc.com”. The screen will
display and then you select Create a
Configuration File.
Click to Let's Go button and fill in the
database that you created earlier. Then click Submit
If the database
information correctly, you will fill out the following message, and click Run the Install button to start
installation.
And enter the
required information as well as the blog admin account, click Install WordPress to complete.
And this is the
message when the installation is complete, you can now start testing and using
WordPress.
Thus we complete
the WordPress installation steps, on page 2 we will start to learn some basic
ways to customize and install themes,
plugins in WordPress.
II. BASIC CONFIGURATION FOR WORDPRESS
After installed,
you can proceed to use that are not need to do anything, but that does not seem
too monotonous? And you want your blog better than you need to fine-tune the settings and install the necessary plugins. WOW, Fantastic!!! Come on, now you visit the admin area with paths http://abc.com/wp-admin/
1. Customize tagline for the blog
Your blog just
created only have a title but have not introduction to describe it. And now we
proceed to write more descriptive. Are you in Setting - General and edit the Tagline
described. By the way you always adjust the time zone, date arrangement.
2. Custom Permalinks
The article links,
category, WordPress is the default page number format. This is not so much with
the feasible search optimization for websites as well as professionalism. You
can adjust the shape http://abc.com/category/post.html. Access to the Settings -> Permalinks, tick on Post name.
3. How to install WordPress themes
a. Search and install theme at admin page
If you are not
satisfied with the default interface, you can search and install a different
interface at admin page. You go to Appearance
-> Themes, Click on Install Themes tab and to search the name of
theme, color, style split columns, themes etc… Or maybe find the theme is
widely used in the Featured section
on the search box.
After searched
theme, you choose Preview to preview
and select Install to proceed with
the installation.
After clicking Install Now, click the Active to activate and start using.
You can also install
themes by upload directly “file .zip” from your computer. In the admin page by
going to go to Appearance -> Themes, Install
Themes tab/ Upload, select plugin need install and the click on Install Now.
b. Install themes by upload to your hosting
If you can’t find a
satisfy theme which available in library of WordPress. You can offer a different
theme from sites provide theme to choose, there are many websites that provide theme
for WordPress nice and free.
After finding a satisfy
theme, you proceed to upload the theme folder to wp-content/themes. You go to Appearance
-> Themes, and click Active
them you just upload.
4. Install the plugin for WordPress
If you want your
blog to be professional and more personalized, you should install some plugins
as follows:

Install the plugin via the WordPress admin
page
The similar install
themes, you can install the plugin through the admin page by going to Plugins - Add New and search.
After finding a
plugin you click Install Now, and
then Active plugin to activate and
use.
You can also install
